“Live in Joy”

Let me confess I am still a student of photography. But from my early days I was very much interested in this art. I still remember my dad using a normal analog camera to take pictures in different ceremonies. I used to touch the camera and feel it.
After passing my SLC, I once bought a film and took the camera and went outside to shoot everything I saw. I also took pictures of Ravi Shankar’s program on “The Art of Living” that was organized in Kathmandu nearly a decade ago.
Now my job as a journalist allows me to visit new places and new people. So, i am getting close to my interest. It’s also about communicating with people and interacting with them. That’s why I like my profession.

A close look at tricycle drivers in Manila

Hilario Satino is a tricycle driver in Manila for the last 27 years. His day starts at 4 am, looking after different commuters and taking them to the places they want. The local government here however intends to bans the tricycle in Katipunan National Highway for safety reasons. But the plan was however kept on hold due to protest from different tricycle organization in the area.

Philippines remembers its national hero Jose Rizal

AS Philippines is celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of its national hero Jose Rizal I am uploading some pictures of a library named after him, The Rizal Library. The Rizal library, Ateneo de Manila University’s library, is one of the best libraries in Philippines.

As part of celebration Ateneo, according to some faculty members, is presenting “A Legacy of Service: Rizal for the 21st Century,” featuring historical exhibits, academic lectures, and cultural presentations, until the end of the year.

Social networks: The utility aspects


“The social networking sites in Nepal have more good stories to tell than the bad stories. It is the best vehicle to network and find your lost friends. For some, it has been a good source to find news. But, the best thing about social networking sites is that it is increasing Nepali internet users.”
Social networking and mi cro-blogging sites are getting quite popular among Nepalis in recent time. But, even the techno savvy people have taken the road to deactivate their Facebook accounts. A friend of mine had entered into the social networking sites in the early days. Yet, he has intends to deactivate his Facebook account all because one of his friends started flirting with his close girl friend. The person became a friend via the Facebook. But, the girl didn’t know that the two were friends. Eventually, the bad guy started giving unnecessary calls and troubled her. My friend realized the incident. He found out that the guy got the information and contact details from the Facebook site. That intrusion made him think of quitting the social network site.
